T5 $100 1861 PF-1 Cr. 5.
Penned on the back of this $100 is, "Disbursed Sep 16th / 1861 / Ferdinand Molloy / Capt(ain) & A(ssistant) C(ommissary) (of) S(subsistence.)" A note that helped fund the Confederate Army in the early days of the war as Captain Molloy served on the staff of General P.G.T. Beauregard. This C-note grades PMG Very Fine 30 Net, cut cancelled, repaired, annotation. The cut cancels have been nicely repaired on the back and the same holds true for the repair along the back left edge.
