Description

T5 $100 1861 PF-1 Cr. 5 PCGS Banknote Uncirculated 62.
Emitted at the then-newly formed Confederate capital of Richmond, VA, from August 25 through September 23, 1861, the T5 $100 was printed by New Orleans based SBNCo. At left on this beautiful piece is a depiction of Justice with her scales and sword, at center is an imposing passenger locomotive rounding a bend in the tracks, and at right, a stately Minerva holds a spear. A green "C - HUNDRED - C" protector completes the layout. Our current offering, which is well printed with lovely protector color, would make an excellent addition to any Confederate type set. In October 2025, we offered a PMG 58 certified representative of this type which brought $2,880. PCGS Banknote comments on toning.
