T38 $2 1861 PF-1 Cr. 286.An estimated 36,000 examples were printed with the erroneous date of September 2, 1861, rather than 1862. The census top ten, according to Fricke, ranges from Fine to Very Fine+, and to date we have not seen another piece even comes close to Extremely Fine. The paper is solid throughout the body of the note, which has just a few minor stains which are not significant enough to warrant a net grade from the third party service. PMG Very Fine 20.
