Description

T38 $2 1861. An engraving error gave this issue an 1861 instead of an 1862 date. This note is scarce in all grades and when found is usually at the lower end of the grading spectrum due to the fact that this was the first issue of this denomination and inflation was not rampant at this time. This is a nice Very Good First Series example that is without major edge ailments and the design features are not impinged.
