Description

Pleasing, Problem Free Montgomery $100

T3 $100 1861 PF-2 Cr. 3.
The Type 3 Montgomery $100 has long been considered one of the most beautiful Confederate notes. Featuring a train vignette in the center and Columbia at left, notes of this type have survived in such limited numbers that there seem to never be enough to go around among the many collectors who desire one. This note displays an endorsement penned on May 20, 1861 by R. Williams. It is a well margined example graded by PCGS as Very Fine 35 that has kept its great color and sharp signatures. Fortuitously, it exhibits light, even wear with nary a problem. A great note for the next collection it enters.
