Trans-Mississippi Stamp.Small areas of paper are missing at the cut cancels on this piece that has been repaired and received a grade of Very Fine 25 Net from PMG as a result. A red circular February 1864 stamp is viewed. The Treasury Department established a somewhat independent branch in Marshall, TX by an act that was passed on January 27, 1864.
