Description

T16 $50 1861 PF-1 Cr. 80 PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ.
T16 saw the beginning of design standardization for the $50 denomination. Jefferson Davis would not relinquish his spot on the $50 for the remainder of the war. Almost 426,000 of these notes were issued between April 17 and December 10, 1862. The note is well printed on bright paper with excellent color, handwritten information, and a fair amount of red fibers.
