T15 $50 1861. CC.A bright and quite vibrantly colored example of the famous Richmond "Train" note, printed by the Southern Bank Note Company (the nom de guerre of the New Orleans branch of the American Bank Note Company). There are two CC's which may or may not affect the value here, although how much will be up to our bidders. Very Fine+, with a thin spot noticed on the back at left center and a minor edge split.
