Description
T12 $5 1861 PF-1 Cr. 49.The T12 is unique among 1861 Confederate issues as it was the only one to feature a back design. It was also the only Confederate Note to feature the words CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA on the back. Nicknamed the Manouvrier note, for its printer, J. Manouvrier, the back is often partially or completely faded away. This piece features most of its blue color and is likely in the top half for retained color and overall appearance. Full inked signatures and issue date are noted on the face. The grading service indicated there are minor repairs. PMG Choice Very Fine 35.
