Description

T12 $5 1861. A nice example of this popular type that was printed by Jules Manouvrier of New Orleans. Although $10s were ordered and received from this printer, all were destroyed after thieves stole and filled in a number of them and all were not recovered. This $5 from the Kennedy collection is About Fine and has a couple of tiny holes that are reinforced on the back but is otherwise nice for the grade.
