Description
T11 $5 1861 PF-4 Cr. 44 PMG Very Fine 20.Printed by Hoyer & Ludwig, this $5 depicts Liberty and an eagle by a shield containing a 5. A vignette of a sailor leaning on a capstan is at lower left. Only 73, 355 of this design were issued. PMG notes a restoration which is an approximate one inch tear to the immediate left of the upper right "V" counter that has been carefully sealed. This note is fully framed, a rarity for this type.
