Red Circular Trans-Mississippi Stamp T9 $20 1861 PF-6 Cr. 28 PMG
Very Fine 25.The red circular February, 1864 Trans-Mississippi reissue stamp remains bold on this T9 $20 Confederate Treasury Note. This piece represents the PF-6 variety, as a doubled "for Treasr." is located at lower right. We have only auctioned an example of this exact variation with the Trans-Mississippi stamp once prior to now. That representative, graded at the PCGS Apparent VF 20 level, brought $763 in October 2015. PMG comments on the six punch cancellations as well as minor repairs to cancellation tears on our current offering.
