Description
Fully Framed T30 $10 1861.Featuring the famous Revolutionary War General Francis Marion's Sweet Potato Dinner vignette, this Very Fine $10 only has a couple of small stains and a few pinholes. After the dinner, British General Gates is said to have remarked "We'll never get them to surrender as they live on tree roots in the swamps." The vignette was also used on notes from the Bank of the State of South Carolina prior to the war.
