CT29/237A Counterfeit $10 1861 PMG About Uncirculated 53.
A well done counterfeit, this piece is in some respects superior to the genuine note. The counterfeiter was, however, tripped up by one detail- he had the printer's name as R. Duncan rather than the correct B. Duncan. This attractive note is three serial numbers removed from Tremmel's plate note. PMG mentions minor ink erosion which appears to be in the tail of the last letter of the Register signer's name from the adjacent note above.
