CT16/86UNL Contemporary Counterfeit $50 1861 PCGS Banknote Very Fine 20.Our current offering represents a previously undiscovered contemporary counterfeit variation. At upper left is the Type 4 scroll, and the rays at lower center are outlined. George B. Tremmel did not list this variety in his 2007 reference. PCGS Banknote comments on writing in pencil on the back of the note at lower left.
