Virginia October 5, 1778 $50. This note is Extremely Fine or better from the standpoint of circulation, but it has a number of problems. It has been mounted at one time and glue still adheres to the blank back. It also has a fair number of repaired splits, although there is no paper loss. The overall appearance is not at all unpleasant. In spite of its problems, it's infinitely nicer than the majority of pieces seen for this high-denomination larger-size note.Auction Info
