Description
Virginia October 5, 1778 $50 PCGS Extremely Fine 40.The two highest denominations from this issue, $50 and $100, were typeset rather than engraved, in a much larger format than the lesser notes, and with an indented border at the left. The size and fragile laid paper makes these two high denominations difficult to obtain in high grades. The only flaw noted on this appealing example is a small repaired edge tear.
