Virginia May 1, 1780 $4 PCGS Apparent Choice About New 58.This is a clearly superior example of this Virginia guarantee issue that is well signed and numbered on the face and also countersigned on the back. A scarce issue in all grades. PCGS has assigned the 58 Apparent grade for a small edge tear at the top right of the center. They are accurate, but it is very small and of no consequence, on such an otherwise exceptional note.
