Description

State of Vermont Treasury Certificate April 3, 1787 £4.10s.0d Anderson 3 PMG About Uncirculated 50.
Only the second Anderson 3 example to participate in all of our auctions, this offering should generate considerable interest. The earlier offering graded PCGS XF 45 and realized $2,115 in January 2014. Bold embossing and an endorsement on the back are observed on the uniface note in this lot. This well printed example displays a center fold and minor corner handling. Vermont became a state on March 4, 1791. This note reads "State of Vermont" four years before the Green Mountain State became the 14th state.
