South Carolina February 8, 1779 $100 PCGS Choice About New 55PPQ.A broadly margined example of one of the much scarcer denominations from this popular and beautifully engraved issue. The 55PPQ grade seems right on the money. The note looks to have been folded once, right down the center, but never actually circulated as the surfaces are clean and bright. The signatures remain dark brown as they were when they were first applied. PMG has graded only three of these, with the nicest a lower grade AU.
