Description
Rhode Island May 3, 1775 20s PCGS Apparent Extremely Fine 40. This is the first example that Heritage has handled of this note, and while PCGS does not maintain a census of Colonial notes, the PMG census shows only a single example, which is a good indication of its rarity. Only 4000 notes were originally printed, of which this piece is #992. No price is given in the Newman book above the Very Fine grade, where all of the denominations are priced the same at $2250. The Apparent grade is due to a corner repair at the upper right and a few minor masked stains.Auction Info
