Rhode Island May 22, 1777 $1/9 PCGS Apparent Very Fine 35. Paul Allen signed this appealing, well-printed piece numbered 5406 that displays nice embossing. These notes were issued in an attempt to remedy the shortage of small change. PCGS included a notation that the apparent grade was due to an edge tear repaired at left near the bottom.Auction Info
