Description

Pennsylvania January 1, 1756 15s. Another challenging note to grade. From the face, in most respects, it's fully Very Fine, and the back is only a shade weaker. But the back has a stain and glue marks from the re-gluing of the previously-sewn center split. The signatures are strong and every word of the printing, both face and back, is perfectly sharp. We'll net grade this one Choice Fine. This is a very rare issue. We've handled only one other note, a 20s in 1998.
