North Carolina April 2, 1776 $5 Triton PCGS Banknote About Unc 53 Details.The Triton vignette represents a son of Poseidon and Amphitrite who has the head and trunk of a man and the tail of a fish. Triton is often represented with a conch-shell trumpet, however in this case it is a three-pronged spear. A lightly circulated example of a popular type that does have repaired edge splits, a rebuilt corner tip, and contemporary annotations on the back.
