Description

New York August 13, 1776 $2 PMG About Uncirculated 55.
A well printed example of this New York colonial is offered here. These are very tough to find in the higher grades, as evidenced by the fact that this offering is one of just three pieces graded at the 55 level by PMG with none finer. The back emblem, which is very bold, shows two storks and the motto, SALUTARIS SIBI PARENTEBUSQUE (Fortunate for itself and its parents). Some staining has been noted by PMG.
