Description

New Jersey March 25, 1776 3s John Hart PCGS Gem New 65PPQ.
This Gem is hugely margined all around with ideal centering on both sides, beautifully bright colors, and deep original embossing. The note bears the bold, dark signature of John Hart. Hart later in this same year became one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Most of these wide margined New Jersey Gems can be traced to a single hoard that broke in the early 70s. This cataloger handled that hoard and there was not a single John Hart note in the entire group. Clearly from a separate source, and very rare this nice -- this would be an incredibly desirable note even without the historically important Hart signature.
