The Only Gem Graded at Either Service

New Jersey June 22, 1756 12s PCGS Banknote Gem Unc 65 PPQ.
There are a number of uncirculated examples from this earliest, readily collectible New Jersey issue. Decades ago many of these sheets were cut up and sold as individual pieces. There are lots of Choice CU examples, but gems are an outright condition rarity. The borders of these notes on an uncut sheet were extremely narrow and consequently finding a note that has four complete borders beyond the frameline is excruciatingly rare. As well as being wonderfully margined, this note bears the characteristic depth of printing, bold printing, and "cardboard crisp" paper. This is the ultimate 1756 note for the avid New Jersey colonial specialist.
