Description

New Jersey April 8, 1762 £3 Very Fine. All three signatures are bold, as is the serial number 1390. Only 3300 notes were originally printed, and only a handful survive anywhere near this grade. Neither Friedberg nor Newman prices this note above Very Good. This cataloger has always been of the opinion that early Jerseys in better grade are extremely underrated. The print figures are very low and the notes had been heavily used; when they're seen at all, they're invariably very low grade and/or damaged. Est. 300up
