Description
Massachusetts October 18, 1776 2d Choice Very Fine. This is a really good looking example of the earliest Codfish Issue. The face plates for the twelve lowest denominations of this issue (up through 4s6d) were engraved by Paul Revere and the faces of the notes were also printed by him. The back design of this note is a Pine Tree, which on this particular example is extremely well printed. All in all, a very nice, problem-free, well centered, lightly circulated piece. Est. 600up
