Massachusetts May 5, 1780 $20 Contemporary Counterfeit Very Fine.This contemporary counterfeit has a poorly formed watermark. The plate diagnostic on this example is provided by the slanting uprights on "No." at upper left. It has a few small edge tears and tape repaired tears.
