Massachusetts May 5, 1780 $2 PCGS Gem New 65PPQ.This is the first two-dollar Massachusetts Bay Guaranteed Note in Gem condition without a punch cancel that we have sold. We have previously sold Gems of the three dollar, five dollar and eight dollar denominations. The highest price realized was the three dollar which also was a PCGS 65PPQ. That note realized $2,820; the five dollar and eight dollar realized $2,585 and $1,840 respectively.
