Description

Massachusetts May 5, 1780 $2 PCGS Banknote About Unc 55.
From the last colonial era issue of Massachusetts, this $2 note is well printed on bright paper with boldly printed design details and equally bold signatures of Thomas Dawes and Richard Cranch. The guarantee signature of Peter Boyer in the federal guaranty on the back is somewhat faded. The note has the typical hole cancel. While the sheet cutting department did not exactly cover itself in glory on this note, it is still quite a nice piece that faces up well.
