    Description

Massachusetts June 18, 1776 10d Fine. All of the pence denominations of this issue are rather scarce with this 10d example being no exception. The centering is near perfect and the fold count is indicative of a note closer to the Very Fine grade. There is a 1/4" split at the top of the center fold and a few tiny pinholes which hold back the overall grade at Fine. If this were a Codfish or Rising Sun note it would be worth three times as much but this issue has never been appreciated by generic colonial collectors.
