Description
Massachusetts August 18, 1775 24s PMG Choice Fine 15.This issue was engraved and printed by Paul Revere. The piece in this lot had an erroneous printed due date that was corrected with pen to "1780." PMG has graded only five examples of this note. The August 18, 1775 issue is elusive for all denominations and is composed of Friedberg numbers 158-73. In fact, PMG has graded only 43 examples in total for those 16 Friedberg numbers. Each denomination had a printing of 10,000 notes. This example has been repaired around the edges. Also, tears at left and right center have been sealed.
