Massachusetts 1779 4s8d Extremely Fine-About New. A lovely, lightly circulated Rising Sun note, with broad margins and perfect printing quality. The face plate for this note was engraved by Paul Revere, and the faces where also printed by him. The backs re-used cast cuts from the Codfish issue, and were printed by Thomas Fleet. In all our sales combined, we've handled fewer than ten Rising Sun notes with the quality and eye appeal of this beauty.Auction Info
