Description
Georgia 1776 Sterling Denomination Issue 2s6d Very Fine. This is the variety with the denomination at the left and the ornamentation at the right. The note has seen a fair amount of circulation, hence the Fine grade, but it has remained remarkably problem-free with a bold vignette, strong color, and no distractions save for two small ink spots. An outstanding example of a very scarce note. One of the signers is William Few, who went on to sign the United States Constitution eleven years after signing this note.Auction Info
