Delaware May 1, 1777 6d PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.A gorgeous Gem in all respects, this piece was cut from an original sheet in order to retain as much of the selvage as possible. The bottom margin measures more than an inch and goes all the way out to the deckled edge of the sheet. Signed by Francis Lockwood. We first sold this note for $1,645 in our 2015 FUN auction. There are two 67 EPQ notes graded by PMG, but it is unlikely that either is prettier than this evening's offering. If you are looking for a visually imposing note for a thirteen- colony type set, here it is.
