Description

Printed by Benjamin Franklin and David Hall

Delaware May 1, 1756 20s PMG Fine 12 Net.
The 20s denomination was the largest value in the very small £2,000 emission. The back features a Lion (which few if any people had ever seen in the flesh at the time) and a nature print. The note still has very legible design features although the corners are rounded and the signatures are quite faint. PMG mentions a restoration (a relatively short internal fold split that has been sealed) which does not overtly draw attention to itself through the holder. Of the eight examples of this note graded by PMG, only two notes grade higher (both Very Fine 20 Net).
