Description
Delaware February 28, 1746/47 20s PMG Good 6 Net.This note dates from the era before 1752 when the year began on March 25 and ended the following March 24. Thus this example is considered a 1746/47 dated note. The 20s denomination was the largest included in this emission and is quite a bit rarer than the lower denominations. This note has spent a long time in circulation and is identifiable but not much more than that. Someone along the way in the last 278 years backed this note which probably accounts for its survival.
