Continental Currency November 29, 1775 $1 PMG Choice Uncirculated 63.
The Resolution of November 29, 1775, authorized $3,000,000 to be issued with another $10,000 subsequently authorized to replace worn bills. The face has an emblem of a weighted bowl sitting on an acanthus plant with the motto DEPRESSA RESURGIT (Though crushed it recovers) on the face and a nature print of ragweed and willow leaves on the back. The note is darkly and clearly printed on excellent paper with eight matched margins and has dark bold signatures of Thomas Morris and Mordecai Lewis.
