Continental Currency January 14, 1779 $55 PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45.The $55 denomination features an emblem of the sun coming out after a storm with the motto POST NUBILA PHOEBUS (After dark clouds comes the sun) on the face and a nature print on the back. The note is printed on bright paper and is fully framed with eight clear margins. PMG notes evidence of previous mounting around the perimeter on the back. The signatures of Jacob Graff and Michael Kimmell are dark and bold.
