Continental Currency February 17, 1776 $1/2 PMG Extremely Fine 40.The Fugio sundial rebus is located at upper right on this attractive XF $1/2 Continental which does not carry any significant condition detractors. Similar to all notes from this February 17, 1776, series, the note is payable in Spanish milled dollars and features 13 chain links bearing the names of the 13 Colonies, joined around the AMERICAN CONGRESS. WE ARE ONE motto at center on the back. The signature of Sam(uel) Sellers remains bold on this note. Only one signer endorsed their name on fractionally denominated notes from the series. A large portion of selvage remains attached at left.
