Description
Continental Currency September 26, 1778 $60-$50-$40-$30-$20-$8-$7-$5 Uncut Half Sheet of Eight PMG About Uncirculated 50.All eight denominations of the issue are present and all eight notes feature heavy, original embossing. This sheet, although totally free of circulation soil, has been folded down at one time, and has one or two light folds affecting each subject. The sheet selvage has also been removed, leaving generous normal note-sized margins on all four sides. The signatures are bold and the print quality above average. Our most recent offerings of this half sheet with notes intended for circulation were three examples from the Eric Newman Collection. Each of the Newman uncut half sheets were third party graded with comments. The last of those Newman sheets to cross our auction block graded PCGS Apparent Extremely Fine 40 and realized $1,920 in January, 2019. Our current offering has earned a higher third party grade, and resides in a comment free PMG holder. Therefore, we look forward to our current offering doing considerably better.
