Description

Continental Currency September 26, 1778 $30 Gem New. Broadly margined and very well printed, with two strong signatures and a strong serial number. It's from the same sheet as three of the other notes in this offering, but it's luckily one of the two where the sheet fold did not touch the note. Outstanding-condition Continental Currency has, in this cataloger's opinion, always been and remains considerably undervalued. A note of equal grade and rarity in any of the Federal series would easily realize in the mid-four figures. Yet gorgeous high-end Continental remains firmly ensconced in the mid-three-figure range. Est. 600up
