Description

Continental Currency May 9, 1776 $4 PCGS Choice About New 58PPQ.
Even in a collection replete with visually appealing notes, this one is a standout. It is the perfect example of a theme that this writer has harped on for years. Technical grade should be secondary to visual appeal. While the Choice About New grade is accurate (there is a minor fold), the appearance of this note is that of a Gem. Every aspect of the printing is ultimately sharp and clear, even down to the foliage on the ground under the boar. Every line of the nature print is distinct, and the signatures and serial number look as though they were applied this morning.
