Description

Continental Currency February 17, 1776 $1/2 Extremely Fine. A rather nice piece, with the important mottoes and imprints nice and clear. Fractional Continentals were used only in this one issue, and they're extremely popular with collectors, due in the most part to the use of Ben Franklin's Sundial rebus on the face and the thirteen linked colonies surrounding "We Are One" on the back. These devices were adapted for the 1776 Continental Dollar Coins and the 1787 Fugio Cent. Est. 200up
