Description

Winnipeg, MB- The Northern Crown Bank $5 July 2, 1908 Ch. # 545-10-02
This short lived institution was the successor to the even shorter lived Northern Bank of Winnipeg. All notes from this bank are rare, with intervals between offerings measured in years rather than months. Even the massive Flynn collection contained only one note from this institution, with that piece, a restored Fine-Very Fine $10, which realized over $4000 against a pre-sale estimate of $2250-3750. This colorful piece is housed in a PMG Fine 12 holder, with no adverse comments whatever, and is likely to see an even higher realization.
