Description

Beautiful Hamilton Bank Note Company Specimen for Panama

Panama Banco Central de Emision 10 Balboas 1941 Pick 24s Specimen PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.
Panama's banknote series of 1941 is as infamous as it is popular. Circulation of these notes was brief, as issuance was cut off after a mere seven days due to an overthrow of the government. The highest denominations are the scarcest by far. At the time of writing, PMG has graded a mere 20 issued examples and 11 Specimen of this beautiful 10 Balboas. The Hamilton Bank Note Company created this Specimen tastefully, with small hole punched cancellations and no distracting overprints. We have offered this high denomination in Specimen format only three times in the past. Famously rare and extremely desirable.
