Uncirculated 63.Second highest denomination of the 1860s series of banknotes issued for British Colonies in Asia. The Asiatic Banking Corporations banknote issuance lifespan was short, and in some cases as brief as two years. It is unclear if any banknotes from this bank were issued in Singapore, or if only remainders, Specimen, and Proofs remain. Rumor has it that only a few sets of denominations were saved, hence the lauded rarity of this type. At the time of writing, this is the first and only example graded in the PMG Population Report. Fully printed, save for the final touches: signatures, date, and serial numbers. Lightened stains are mentioned for accuracy. Part of a fantastic group offered in this auction.
