Fr. 352 $1 1891 Treasury Note PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.Civil War era Secretary of War Edwin Stanton peers out from this sparkling example with vibrant colors, bright original paper with original surfaces, and margins / registration consistent with its assigned grade. This series 1891 note has lots of white space on the back - an approach which was felt to cause money handlers to focus on fewer design details when determining a note's genuineness.
